PHOTO: And yet more residents are in an outrage this morning after seeing what is now almost a daily occurrence. More gang-related graffiti on homes. This time, it was homes currently under construction, targeted by Lakewood’s gang members. Construction workers arriving to work this morning, were seen trying to rub off the graffiti, but to no avail.
Aside from the ‘standard’ graffiti incidents, several construction sites around town have been targeted with graffiti over the last few months.
Maybe you shouldnt be building new “nice” houses in an area like that!!!!
if you want to stop this type of infestation, dont accept those who are slum-lords. dont be friends with them, and shun them from your circle of friends.
When these money hungry slum-lords stop inviting anyone into the rentals, only then will this stop. until then- shut up & put up with it.
VERY LOW INCOME & GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE COMES ALONG WITH GANGS/DRUGS/CRIME
have you thanked a liberal today?
Why build a house on MLK?? and if you must, splurge on a fence. a tall one.
To #1 “ICSL” – how else do you propose to change around a neighborhood? Why do you blame the victim?! Just accept the fact that the neighborhood is bad and do nothing about it?? The more homeowners that move in to the neighborhood, the less riff raff and criminal element there will be.
If any of these guys get caught they should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
aren’t there enough people in Lakewood to see whats going on at all hours of the day?
how do these graffiti artist’s escape without any witnesses?
where is the Neighborhood watch, Shomrim, and the ” Quality of life zone enforcement” police, as the sign says as you drive up MLK drive!!
i cannot believe we are siting ducks.
lets do something chevra!
Why don’t you ask the Police Dept. spokesperson to take a proactive approach and do something about this.
I wonder who they are going to ticket for these? the builder?
Either we build in those neighborhoods, or the gangs will end up taking over ours. We learned the hard way in cities like Brooklyn, Chicago, NYC, Detroit, etc. There were once beautiful neighborhoods, till people got scared off and moved. It did not take long for those neighborhoods to become dangerous slums. We can’t afford to give our houses, shuls, schools, etc. over to criminals and keep rebuilding elsewhere.
It’s time to take a stand!!
The more attention we give them – like by posting it on this website, the more reoson they have to continue.
#8, you wanna take a stand?
Ask your friends who have rental properties if they did a background/credit/ check on their tenants. – if not, take a stand and shun them!
Stop renting to 3rd world illegals! do you really expect them to have respect for your property & rules, when they dont have respect for the land & our Constitution?
its funny how everyone on here complains about the people that we live around and yet no one has stood up to do something about it
maybe then something will change stop saying and start doing
you reap what you sow
how you now is the gang any one point to the gang..
