Homes In Westgate Burglarized While Homeowners Slept

At least two homes in Westgate were burglarized during the night while the homeowners slept, TLS has learned. One of the victims tells TLS the burglar entered through an unlocked door between the hours of 12-7AM, and proceeded to loot the home.

The burglar made off with a purse and other items before exiting from the front door.

A home several doors down from the first home was burglarized as well. Similar to the first home, the burglar entered through a rear door left unlocked. The burglar made off with a purse from that location as well.

“I want people to take a lesson from this to make sure their doors are locked at night”, one of the victims says.

CIU is investigating the incidents. TLS.

  1. get a sensor alarm even if the door is not locked the alarm will go off.it’s well worth the money.i have had a few burglaries in my house a few years ago.for $38 a month i have a burglar alarm which alarms a central system and police come in minutes.besides there is a screaching noise as soon as the door or window is opened.no robberies since.it’s also on a cellular line so if they cut the phone line it won’t help.

  2. I agree get a sensor my Brother-n-law has them on their doors just in case one of the kids opens the door they hear it right away, smart idea ZAIDA

  3. I hear you there bro..if you just lock your doors that makes it harder for them to get in. Its an easy fix, I know sometimes it is a pain in the neck but simple precautions deter criminals from coming in.

  4. My wife’s co worker was robbed in regency and the cops called her this morning and they know who the guy is. The cops are working on the case. Until now they didn’t know who he was. This should make everyone feel a bit better.

  5. In coventry and many other areas in lalewood about a year ago there was a slew of buglaries with the exact same “symptoms” .(At the time it was extensively covered by TLS) The guy was caught, sat for three months and worked out some deal with the prosecutor. He’s now roaming the streets again. I bet its the same guy.

  6. number 7 and number 3 adults forget and children are careless. with a sensor alarm it will tell you which door or window is open when you set it.then even if they are not locked the alarm will go blasting and the would come.it also comes with a panic button fire button or medical alert button.you also can exclude which windows and doors you can leave off on shabbos. for 38 dollars it’s a bargain.i lost $1000″S before i got it,also i don’t like strangers in my house.people can break a lock too, then with one press of a button help is on the way.you may not get a chance to use a phone.
