PHOTOS &VIDEO: Dozens of firefighters from Lakewood, Brick and Jackson responded to a home fire on Cross Street this evening. The Lakewood Fire Department was dispatched to the home approximately 8:00 p.m. and upon arrival saw flames inside the second story of the home with heavy smoke coming out of the windows.
The LFD immediately hit out for a General Alarm as well as requesting assistance from neighboring townships.
Also dispatched, were the Lakewood EMS and the Volunteer Lakewood First Aid crews.
The fire was brought under control after approximately 20 minutes.
Nobody was injured. TLS-08/TLS-CCP/TLS-89.

Does anyone know what the fire was caused by?
it was a kitchen fire in an empty house
Matches!!!!!!!!!!!!
MSC why are you not on the video you finally have excitement please show everyone!!! lol
I saw trucks from Lakewood, Whitesville, Jackson Mills, and Pleasant Plains.
Way to go LFD keep up the great work
Lightning strikes agai9n
i know very little about fires but is it normal to call in three other towns ona house thats on fire? i thought they only do that if its multiple houses, or maybe a huge building like a warehouse, etc?
Herbertsville was there as a FAST team, Whitesville brought a tanker to supply water, and Pleasant Plains was canceled and never brought to the scene. That side of town has very few fire hydrants, so they needed larger trucks that carry more water to supply them with water.
Welcome Pooh!
To Number 9 it wasn’t Herberstville it was Laurelton Station 24 off rt 88 in Bricktown
It was Herbertsville. Laurelton is not a certified FAST team. Not to mention all their gear says Herbertsville, and station 24 is Herbertsville.
