Home Fire Caused By Thief Stealing Pipes

lfd A fire broke out in a home on Tuesday evening, when a thief attempted to steal piping from the home, sources tell TLS. The thief was reportedly attempting to steal piping from a basement of a vacant home on Manetta Avenue when he caused the home to catch fire.

The fire department responded and extinguished the fire a short time later. No injuries were reported. TLS-GNC.

  1. sounds like you got two stories mixed up..

    * lakewood firefighter is right- this was a suspicious fire that started in the upstairs that had nothing to do with pipes

    * there was a burglary off county line by the golf course where the perpetrator was caught in the act of stealing pipes
