VIDEO: A home fire which reportedly started from a dryer filled a home with smoke last night and left the home severely damaged.
The Woodlake Manor home quickly filled with smoke, but the occupants made it out uninjured.
The Fire Department’s quick response to the General Alarm prevented the fire in the attached home from spreading further in the complex.
Multiple Fire Companies responded to the scene along with Lakewood EMS and Lakewood First Aid.
Dear TLS, please create a follow up story, specifying common causes for dryer fires (maybe also general fires) with a link to this story.
you have the power USE IT!!!!!!!!
@ yossie: i agree with u 100%! I was in a camp years ago, and the first time i used the dryer, i checked the lint accumalation, it it was about 2 inches thick! I had the office hang a sign that people should empty the lint. Lint build up is a very common cause of dryer fires.
Ask the lakewood fire marshalls, they will help you out
The Fire Marshals are from Ocean County. Lakewood does not have Fire Marshals assigned here
