The Skulener Rav of Lakewood this evening was crowned as the Skulener Rebbe of Lakewood.
The crowning comes after the Rebbe Reb Yisroel Avrohom’s Petirah last week.
The Rebbe’s oldest son, Reb Yeshaya Yaakov, of Montreal, became the main Rebbe, while the others who currently served as a Rav, became Rebbes in their respective communities.
The Rebbe in Lakewood will conduct his first Tisch as Rebbe this coming Shabbos, Shabbos Hagadol, at his Bais Medrash on Park Avenue.

I have had the opportunity to meet the Lakewood Skulener Rebbe many times as he walked past our home. His brochos are kuley words of Torah. His inquiry to my well being and memory is unbelievable. A walking true yarey shamayim. A smile and concern for another yid…
The difference from a Rav & a Rebbe Is simillar to the difference between a Ram & a Rosh Yeshiva.
