Here’s why you may want to slice open all pickles before eating them

A Lakewood Rav we spoke to reccomended slicing open each pickle from this company before eating.

A recent alert from the Star K also announced a similar issue from another company.

“I personally would slice open all pickles from all companies,” the Rav told TLS.

  1. This is no news. Worms can occasionally be found in ANYTHING that grows. I have found worms in cucumbers(and other fruits/veggies) that do not typically have worms . This is not the company’s issue. There’s no way they could check it if it’s pickled whole. There’s no indication that there’s an infestation so I’m wondering if publicizing the company was halachically permitted as this might affect their sales.
