Law enforcement agencies in New York and New Jersey this morning are on heightened alert following the attacks in Brussels, Belgium this morning that left dozens dead and over 100 injured.
The attacks occurred inside the airport and inside the metro station, and were apparently caused by suicide bombers.
There are reports of over 30 dead and over 100 injured in the attacks.
Amtrak and other agencies have also added additional security in response to the attacks.
Senate Republican Leader Tom Kean offered the following statement following this morning’s dual terrorist bombings in Brussels, Belgium:
“The innocent people who were lost in today’s cowardly attacks have our prayers, and the brave responders our admiration. New Jersey stands with the people of Belgium and all of those who stand defiant against this ideology of hate and fear.”
