Althought there has not been any specific or credible threat, security was beefed up across Lakewood and across the country over Shabbos in response to concerns of a possible attack in support of Hamas’ ongoing terror war against Israel.

In addition to a full Lakewood Police Department deployment, several dozen state police vehicles, both marked and unmarked, Ocean County Sheriff’s office, the Ocean County Prosecutors office, as well as other local patrols, were out in full force across Lakewood and other communities in the area.

B’Chasdei Hashem, Shabbos ended peacefully without any incident, although, due to an abundance of caution security will remain tight over the coming days, as concerns remain regarding a possible threat.
