Heavy Downpour Causes Flooding Around Town

flooding rt 9Some areas in town are seeing heavy flooding as a result of the downpour. TLS has received reports of over six inches of water in some areas.

Motorists are urged to use caution when driving through water-covered roads, as they risk hydroplaning, as well as severe vehicle damage.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning, which remains in effect until 1:15 AM Sunday morning. Wind gusts of up to 50 MPH are also possible with the storm, the Service said.

  1. This is what happens with over development. The rain water has no where to go but into the streets causing flooding. These situations are created by developers. Smart development is no longer in existence.
