Heavy Delays On Outerbridge Crossing

URGENT: 3:01 p.m. If you or someone you know are headed to NY for Shabbos, please be advised that the Outerbridge Crossing currently has heavy traffic delays headed to NY. A reader has just notified TLS that after hearing about the delay, he instead took the Gothals Bridge, which is clear of traffic. Please also use caution as the road conditions are extremely harsh at this time, due to the weather.

if u know anyone who gets stuck there over the outer bridge stay to the left take the first exit and the yeshiva of staten island is on the right coming off the highway if any one gets stuck there we will be glad to host them or have them placed by someone

The oilam should be reminded not to leave late so that you don’t end up on the outerbridge at 3:00pm on a short Friday.
Just some common sense. Leaving Lakewood at 2:00 pm during this time of the year is not achrayisdig.
I’m no tzaddik but I learned this lesson once too.
Give yourself AT LEAST double time.
I hope the tipster from the outerbridge arrives safely and ticket free.
