“Ad mesh v’esrim!”
How many times have you said this phrase?
As Jews, we strive to live a long life full life, and many gedolim have lived well past 100, a remarkable feat. But can us “regular” people also make it well past the 100 mark? A recent statement from Rav Chaim Feinstein sheds fascinating light on the secret to living until 120:
R’ Feinstein explains that those who help the Vaad HaRabbanim marry off 61 orphans this month will be zoche to a long life, citing the story of Binyamon Hatzadik who was responsible for the kupah shel tzedaka, and how he supported a widow and 7 orphans and therefore had 22 years added to his life.
This Shvat, 61 orphans with tragic stories buried deep within in their hearts will either get married and finally have a family of their own– Or they will be abandoned in their time of need. Rav Chaim Feinstein has pledged to daven at the kever of Binyamin Hatzaddik in Tzfas, a zechus for long life and simchah in the home, for whoever helps. Donate here to help 61 orphans with heartbreaking stories finally get what they need, and to receive Rav Feinstein’s powerful tefillos for you to live a long life with simcha in your home! Campaign ends tomorrow.
