If you’ve downloaded the new Blackberry Messenger 5 recently and are having issues with it, you’re not alone. Thousands of users are experiencing problems too. Mainly, freezing up the phone and causing BBM 5 to cease operation. TLS spoke with a RIM technician regarding the issue and they claim there is no way to return to the previous version once you have downloaded the new one. However, after some research, TLS found this link which will downgrade your BBM to the previous version, should you experience any issues. We suggest you check with your carrier and/or RIM prior to installing the new version, to ensure your software is compatible with the new version. TLS has tested the above link and it worked fine. However, we cannot guarantee each Blackberry to respond to the download the same way.
