Hatzolah Responds To Cardiac Arrest At Jackson Shop, Revives Teen

A dramatic incident Friday highlighted the lifesaving work of Hatzolah CJ and the organization’s commitment to providing emergency medical care to everyone in the communities it serves.

A young non-Jewish teen was helping out at a Jewish-owned shop in Jackson on Friday when he suddenly went into cardiac arrest, multiple sources told TLS.

Hatzolah CJ was dispatched along with 911, and Hatzolah CJ volunteers arrived almost immediately. The responders quickly began advanced lifesaving treatment and were able to deliver a shock, successfully reviving the teen.

The patient regained a pulse and was transported to the hospital for further treatment.

“The incident also underscores an important point that many people may not realize: Hatzolah CJ volunteers respond to medical emergencies regardless of a patient’s background or religion,” a veteran Hatzolah member told TLS. “When someone is in need, their priority is saving a life.”

Hatzolah CJ has continued to expand its coverage throughout the Lakewood region, with volunteers responding in Lakewood and increasingly throughout Jackson, Toms River, Howell, Brick and surrounding communities.

Friday’s incident serves as another powerful example of the value of having highly trained, rapid-response Hatzolah CJ volunteers available throughout the region, often arriving before other emergency resources.

Wonderful, and we’re happy they were able to revive him.

BTW, as surprising as it may be, there are sometimes teens who have heart attacks.

What can be done?

I have no idea who this teen is or anything about him, but I’m writing this from my general understanding.

  • Physical
  • Eat healthfully
  • Definitely don’t drink soda or sports/energy drinks as a drink – a few sips a day at most just for the taste.
  • If one has significant weight, work on losing weight by doing the above and not having any deep-fried foods – a.k.a. fast food – especially those made with unhealthy oils – just about all oils besides olive and coconut. Portion size makes a difference to weight too.
  • Use Stevia in place of sugar. (A sweet-tasting herb that is naturally calorie-free, as opposed to Splenda – which is unsplendid and full of chemicals AND has calories!!!)
  • Get good sleep – a full night without an alarm clock, in a very dark room. This means you’ve gotten a full night of sleep; you wake up automatically when finished sleeping. My rabbi would say this. He was an elderly fellow with many years’ experience as principal of a school and summer camp – with much experience counseling teens.) Good sleep makes a difference to all systems.
  • Try to walk at least an hour a day in total, and stand up for five minutes out of every half hour of sitting – or a minimum of ten minutes out of every hour. (Note, this should apply to traveling too; you and your passengers will feel much more comfortable.) Experts say sitting is the new smoking.
  • Get a standing desk if you do much desk work. There are even those with an electric motor that rise automatically on a timer.
  • Don’t touch any vaccine with a ten-foot pole, and don’t touch the covid vaccine with a twenty-foot pole. (We’ve discussed a bunch of times here that there is no proof any vaccine was ever necessary, safe or effective, and mountains of proof to the opposite. See dissolvingillusions dot com.
  • Emotional
  • Be happy and don’t let things bother you too much. Strengthen in faith in God – and see He has a master plan. Every person – and family and community and nationality – is unique and has a special purpose in this world. Laugh when things don’t work out exactly as planned – instead of it getting you uptight. Similarly, work on forgiving people from the past, and remembering that everyone is human, and really just being normal and doing their best, and they don’t mean anything personally; they’re just going along normally in life. See whatever good atmosphere you can contribute to the world – smiles and pleasantness, and that will make the world a better place!:)

Much success, and God Bless!!!:)
