Hatzolah Member, Others, Assaulted While Attempting To Stop Assault

A Hatzolah member among several others were assaulted on Yom Tov while attempting to assist a victim in a Domestic Violence assault, TLS has learned.

The incident occurred at about 2 PM on Monday, when a Hatzolah member walking with his family near his home heard a woman screaming for help. As the member began crossing the street to see what was happening, he witnessed a husband assaulting his wife. That’s when the husband, a mentally disturbed individual according to officials, noticed the Hatzolah member and came towards him, turning his blows on him instead. The man took a swing at the Hatzolah member, hitting him in the neck – witnesses tell TLS. After swinging at him, he continued physically assaulting other bystanders. At least one bystander got a punch to his face, and lost his glasses.

The Hatzolah member grabbed his radio and radioed for help from Police.

It turns out a Hatzolah Ambulance with several members – driven by the Shabbos Goy, was just around the corner returning from a call responded to the call for help. The members arrived about 30 seconds later, according to sources.

Moments later, approximately 5 police officers arrived and arrested the man, who was also chained by his feet after kicking inside the police cruiser.

The Hatzolah member and other were bruised up, but none of the injuries required medical assistance. TLS.
