VIDEO: This evening, the Township Committee awarded Lakewood’s Emergency Services Group for their outstanding work together as a group, in a time of need. In particular, Committeeman Meir Lichtenstien – Liaison to Emergency Services and himself an EMT with Hatzolah for 18 years – thanked the three groups for their outstanding work in the recent tragic School Bus accident.
“It’s amazing to see how the three squads worked together”, Lichtenstien said of the emergency work the group performed during a chaotic and stressful scene.
The awards, a plaque and proclamation, were received by representatives from each squad. TLS.
This should be shown more often, not just after a tragic event to all of the emergency services, career or volunteer. Police, Fire and EMS are professionals under some unsafe conditions. They answer the call you make regardless of how small or large. These people really make this town safe. God bless
These guys are the true heros of the town. They are ready and available 24/7 for medical emergencies. Kudos to Mayor Miller and Committee Lichtenstein for honoring them and expressing their apprecition on behalf of the entire town.
We really appreciate the work they all do. may i ask whats with chevreim they are 24/6 100 calls a day they desove one to oh and also i think they are doeing a aution to so people lets help them out to
oh dont forget the unbelivable work that ace klughaft (59) on chevreim is doing he needs a plague too we wont ask for that from the township only if they want keep up the good work
plauge? you mean plaque.
Chaverim dose not risk there life’s they change tires and open doors they are a volounteer AAA. I don’t relive they are anywhere nee the same category as our police fire or ems personel. They don’t have to undergo 6 months of training or meet any of the other requirements that u have to take to become police, fire or ems.
