We regret to inform you of the Petira of Harav R’ Eliezer Dovid Pal, a Talmid Chochom and Mechaber Sforim, who was Niftar Erev Shabbos. Rav Eliezer Dovid Z’L, father of Avraham Shaya Pal and father in law of R’ Yisroel Chaim Friedman and R’ Michoel Uhr, was Niftar following an illness. He was 74.

Shiva will be taking place at 3 Mountain Avenue, Monsey, NY.

Was he once a rosh Hayeshiva and a talmid of Viznitz?

I don’t know if he was a rosh yeshiva, but he was a talmid of the imri chaim of vishnitz and he was a massive talmid chochom. His son-in-law reb yisroel chaim friedman is also a big talmid chochom.
