Governor Chris Christie is among the thousands of guests and delegates arriving in Tampa Bay this afternoon for the Republican Convention – despite the weather conditions which threaten the region.

The Governor is expected to attend a welcome reception later this afternoon in the hotel, moved from an outdoor event due to hurricane Isaac, which could prompt other changes to the mega-event.

Our Governor, Governor Christie will be the keynote speaker at the event.
