SOLD OUT: Group Charters Boat To Head To Asifa In Queens

PHOTO: [UPDATED] A group in Lakewood looking to avoid the hassles of buses, traffic and parking for Sunday’s Internet Asifa in Queens, has chartered a boat. The 150 seat ‘Asifa Boat’ (pictured) will be departing from the Jersey Highlands, about 35 minutes from Lakewood at about 4:15 PM on Sunday, and dock directly across Citi Field.

One of the arrangers tells TLS the tickets are on a first-come-first-serve basis and “they are moving fast”.

The remaining tickets are being sold until 6PM today at the “Out To Lunch” cafe. (Do not call Out To Lunch for tickets).

Tickets are $40 round-trip, and are non-refundable. (No one-way tickets available).

For inquiries, you can email [email protected]. TLS

UPDATE: Tickets will also be sold at Zichron Binyomin, corner of 7th and Princeton Avenue, at 9:45PM-10:15PM in the Ezras Noshim.

UPDATE: As of Wednesday evening, the 150 seats have been sold out.

I looked into a helicopter. The cost would be around 1, 800 per person and then u need to take a taxi to citi. They might allow u to parachute into the the field it self for an additional fee

I heard that alot of the asifa transportation are on school buses .GUARANTEED that whatever bus ur going on it will take over 2 hrs. Going by Boat is faster, smoother, nicer ( beautiful scenic route ),roomier, cooler and it docks mamesh by citi field . Traveling like a mentch !

Going in style will make the asifa itself so much nicer.Instead of traveling for 2 hours by bus and coming into the asifa all tired, nausous and with a huge headace, those who will travel by boat will arrive refreshed and rejuvinated and will be ready and eager to take take in all the wisdom and inspiration from the speeches at the asifa.

excited!!

I got myself a ticket for the boat ride. Now I can sit and learn like a mensch with fresh air and walking space.

But the main thing is that whichever route you take, the main thing is to have in mind that you’re going lesheim shamayim and to be mekadesh shem shamayim too!

Nesi’ah Tovah!!

Btw, does anyone know the Halacha when we say tefilas haderech for those travelling with the ocean route?
