PHOTO: [UPDATED] A group in Lakewood looking to avoid the hassles of buses, traffic and parking for Sunday’s Internet Asifa in Queens, has chartered a boat. The 150 seat ‘Asifa Boat’ (pictured) will be departing from the Jersey Highlands, about 35 minutes from Lakewood at about 4:15 PM on Sunday, and dock directly across Citi Field.
One of the arrangers tells TLS the tickets are on a first-come-first-serve basis and “they are moving fast”.
The remaining tickets are being sold until 6PM today at the “Out To Lunch” cafe. (Do not call Out To Lunch for tickets).
Tickets are $40 round-trip, and are non-refundable. (No one-way tickets available).
For inquiries, you can email [email protected]. TLS
UPDATE: Tickets will also be sold at Zichron Binyomin, corner of 7th and Princeton Avenue, at 9:45PM-10:15PM in the Ezras Noshim.
UPDATE: As of Wednesday evening, the 150 seats have been sold out.

Can we get a daily boat to Manhattan instead of the bus????
Is the boat equipped with wifi?
Wow ! what a great idea ! The thought of going by bus was getting me very uptight . I’m going to buy a whole bunch
Thanks to the genius that thought of it.
is it stopping in Ninvei?
WHY DONT YOU JUST RENT A HELICOPTER FOR THAT PRICE?!?!
if someone wants to split a ticket, i am looking only for a way back.
How about a kumzits with a bbq on the boat?
I looked into a helicopter. The cost would be around 1, 800 per person and then u need to take a taxi to citi. They might allow u to parachute into the the field it self for an additional fee
@ ridiculous
Maybe they want to enjoy their Sunday in a boat ride? Why is everything such a big deal?
fineschmeckers!!!! not nice
@#1
Kollel boat to manhattan with a minyan shachris ( and coffee) inbound, and daf Yomi (and beer) on the way home!!!
can you smoke on the boat??
Maybe just don’t go if its such a hassel
I’m going by horse!!!
Alot better than a school bus!!!!
Talk about missing the boat…
I heard that alot of the asifa transportation are on school buses .GUARANTEED that whatever bus ur going on it will take over 2 hrs. Going by Boat is faster, smoother, nicer ( beautiful scenic route ),roomier, cooler and it docks mamesh by citi field . Traveling like a mentch !
I’m walking.
Whats the travel time by boat?
What a great idea…..ever see the Jersy Shore traffic going into NY on Sunday evenings??? Yikes!!! Why not get there and still feel like a mentsch? Any way to order supper to the boat? I’m in!!
Like going back to old ways! No more Internet, no more cars!
Does the boat have wi-fi?
Going in style will make the asifa itself so much nicer.Instead of traveling for 2 hours by bus and coming into the asifa all tired, nausous and with a huge headace, those who will travel by boat will arrive refreshed and rejuvinated and will be ready and eager to take take in all the wisdom and inspiration from the speeches at the asifa.
The boat ride will take around an hour and 15 min!!!
Filtered Water Only!
We are trying to arrange a bike-athon to citifield.
If youre interested let me know.
Sponsorships available.
wew mamush an amazing idea!! i cant wait to join!!
Our grand parents never had a need to go to a stadium for chizuk. Why now?
whats pshat- plse tell me ur kidding. Our grandparents didntr have access to every discusting thing in the world in their palms. . .
So its a 35 minute drive to boat and then an hr and 15 on boat?
thats almost 2 hrs. . .
@whats pshat –
Our grandparents didn’t have The Lakewood Scoop for entertainment or any other reason. Why do you suddenly feel the need to come on to The Lakewood Scoop???
You’re such a faker.
(comment # 30) going by bus will take 2 hours ( minimum) but will feel like forever. dont forget your tylenol
Does anyone know who is speaking at the asifa. It’s a’boat’ time we know who is speaking. Also I think they should have some entertainment like Ichi Meir Helfgot or even MBD. What does the oilam think?
omg this is DEF the best post plus comments by faaar! im literally laughing out loud!!
Every rav should speak to their congregation about internet and no need for a stadium.. very simple
i hope they give out food
I got myself a ticket for the boat ride. Now I can sit and learn like a mensch with fresh air and walking space.
But the main thing is that whichever route you take, the main thing is to have in mind that you’re going lesheim shamayim and to be mekadesh shem shamayim too!
Nesi’ah Tovah!!
Btw, does anyone know the Halacha when we say tefilas haderech for those travelling with the ocean route?

All buses yes coach buses going to assifa. Will be leaving from 1 location. Blue claws stadium parking lot. Due to heavy traffic getting across town allow an extra 20 minutes. Buses will start leaving @ 2pm. Last bus departing @ 3:45pm.
FYI Boat tickets are all sold out!!
