GRAPHIC PHOTOS: Lakewood parents want this to serve as a reminder

Lakewood parents today are using these graphic images to show the dangers of leaving a hot item in a child’s reach.

This two-year-old Lakewood child was attempting to grab his kiddy cup from the counter when a hot bowl of soup toppled down on him.

The child was transported to Livingston Burn Center for treatment of second and third degree burns.

I’m a little confused. where does pesach come in here (aside for the fact that it’s almost here). This poor child got burnt from a bowl of soup. nothing to do with dirt being chometz or harmful cleaning products. while all your comments are true and we need to be careful, all this article is warning parents is to be careful of HOT things.

It can happen at any time, but unfortunately, children are more prone to accidents in the weeks leading up to Pesach (or any other especially busy time) when it’s so easy for parents to get distracted by what you’re doing and not pay full attention to the little ones, who then “help themselves”, totally unaware of impending danger.

When the child gets better try using vitamin E it helps to reduce scarring. I hope the child has a speedy recovery.
