Grants Available for Small Businesses, Funded by Verizon

A grant for small businesses being funded by Verizon is open to applications now and will be closing Tuesday, February 9th at 11:59 PM. The grant will provide small businesses with up to $10,000.

Grants are for eligible small businesses across the US. Eligible expenses for the grant include:
  • Paying rent and utilities
  • Meeting payroll
  • Paying outstanding debt to vendors
  • Upgrading technology infrastructure
  • Other immediate operational costs

  1. I would like to apply for the grant, but I owe Verizon 4 months worth of phone service, about $400. Question: Would it be advisable for me to apply for the grant, and to ask verizon to subtract my balance from the grant, so that Verizon would only have to send me $9600?
