Governor Christie has established November 5th as Law Enforcement Appreciation Day in New Jersey.
“Today, the flag of the United States of America and the flag of New Jersey will be flown at half-staff at all State buildings in recognition of Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, and in honor of all law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty,” the Governor said.
“NJ’s law enforcement officials demonstrate remarkable courage and commitment by protecting the lives and property of the citizens of our State. I ask all New Jerseyans to express their gratitude not only today but every day to the law enforcement officials in your community and across the state. Let us never forget those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our safety and may we keep their memory and their families in our thoughts and prayers.”

Empty Gesture. How about you keep your flags at full staff and allow our boys and girls in blue to keep the pension and benefits they earn putting their lives on the line for everyday for 25 years. Theyd probably feel more appreciated then.
