Governor Chris Chrstie and other NJ Republicans will attend a press conference next week to show support for those opposing President Obama’s Iran Deal, TLS has learned.
“It’s important for us to show our support,” says Agudath Israel NJ Director Avi Schnall, who was one of several representatives from Jewish organizations today on the conference call with U.S. Senator Cory Booker.
Booker, a Democrat, is being called upon by many Jewish leaders and organizations, as well as by New Jersey officials, to oppose the Iran deal, as has fellow Democratic U.S. Senator Bob Menendez this week. Both Senators are NJ Representatives.
During the conference call, Booker – who has voiced in the past strong support for Israel – said he would decide based on what his heart tells him is best for the Country.
The conference, open to the public, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the IDT Yeshivah in Newark.
