Gov. Chris Christie Plans Cuts To N.J. Subsidized School Meals

The report said Christie wants to eliminate the state’s $3 million for subsidized school breakfasts, which also run on $41.4 million from the U.S. Department.   1. this woud be the stupidest thing Christie could do, so many of these kids who get this free lunch or reduced lunch prices have it for a reason and most times this is the only way the kids get food for breakfast. This is why I didnt vote for him and I hope he doesnt get voted in again. He is no good for Jersey, for the people of Jersey. Get him out of office before he damages the schools and kids forever.

  2. If you voted for the newly elected BOA members and their platform of doing ‘whatever it takes’ to lower the budget (in their words), then you have no right to complain about Christie doing this, if you are affected

  3. first off i did not vote for the new Board members. I can voice my opinion all I chose too, I have that right as an american. And obviously this has has been an idea in Christies head before the new members took seat on the board beign there was an article written in the star ledger already about it. This will affect not just the public schools but the private ones also, a very large percent of kids get free or reduced lunches. Once again, Christie is not good for the kids of this state. He is ruining the edication in it.
