    • to those saying its good advertising, no. its not.
      Publicity doesnt equal marketing.
There IS such a thing as bad publicity.

Yes, i think what was shown here is disgusting and a blatant chillul Hashem.

Take heart. Those who are into gashmiyus, look how low you can stoop, and not even be aware of your ravenous gluttony.

    • Bad publicity isnt good advertising.
And for those who worry about Lashon Hara, this is not Lashon Hara. To call out a public display of Hedonism as being depraved is about as To’eles as you can get.

  1. Absolutely gone too far. The gashmiyus is out of control as is. Is this the message we’re promoting to our young neshamos? Absolutely terrible. Lakewood is no longer Ir Hatoyrah and instead is Ir Hagashmiyos. And don’t get me started on the upcoming donut nonsense. 15$ for a donut with pulled beef inside? Have we lost our collective mind?! Ban ban ban such ads. The rabbonim should put out a Kol Korei and get this gashmiyos under control!!!

  2. Straight up disgusting advertisement They should be ashamed of themselves. This of the lowest you can get. It’s embarrassing to see how low people will go for advertisement.

  3. Im confused. Why wouldnt it be good advertising? What makes one say gone too far?
It’s cute, it’s silly, it’s cringy, it’s entertaining. Also makes you consider trying it because they’re all going crazy over it so it’s probably good. Doesn’t look too dried out, nice variety for everyone to choose from. Big portion for the crowd. They all look like they’re having a good time. What could be bad?

    • i look at that and think, disgusting, hedonistic, akin to roman orgies, i would NEVER look to buy from a place which seems to promote such indecency.

  4. Personally I think it’s a little overBOARD (no pun intended) but I am also a big believer in ‘live and let live’ and so I wouldn’t voice my opinion on how someone may decide to advertise to make a parnassa… besides klal yisroel has got far bigger problems on their hands than any of these issues could ever be so for me it’s all good!

  5. A person must take a deep look within when he consistently feels the need to dissect and question everyone’s motives. The definition of Mind Your Own Business applies here. TLS and every business in town doesn’t think twice about moral ethics if they stand to gain financially. We live in a world where we are finally beginning to condemn and educate the hustlers who will do anything to make a buck, regardless of the consequences to them, their families, communities, and other legitimate businesses. The headline implies that this business owner may be guilty of something when all he is trying to do is make an honest living. If you don’t like his creative and unconventional advertising then don’t look.

    • Very good comment. It’s tough making a living, people must be creative in different ways. This ad is intended to be comical, to make you laugh as you remember the item they are selling. Give the guy a break please! I wouldn’t be surprised if the creator of the ad was very wise in learning as well.

  6. It’s not ok to ask on a public platform if a company’s advertising is good or not. I don’t have any affiliation with this company but letting you know one of the laws of l”H

  7. Right or wrong it’s complete Loshon Hora to ask your readers opinion on this. It can only cause negativity towards this company.

Please remove. You should know better.

  8. They’re definitely getting attention from this post – although I’m not sure negative attention is positive marketing in the long run.
Personally I think it’s one of the most disgusting, chillul Hashem ads I’ve seen to date hit the market and I implore all non religious, non Jewish, non Chasiddish viewers to know that this is NOT a Jewish representation by any means. Don’t look at the garbage being worn and see Jewish behavior. For I can introduce you to thousands of religious and ultra religious Jews that are not gluttonous ill-behaviored people.
I would excommunicate whoever thinks it’s ok to present the Ultra Orthodox publicly in this light.

  9. This ad has gone way too far! There’s no reason why the food needs to be served on a special luxurious wooden board. The price of lumber is quite expensive nowadays due to inflation and supply and demand. Plastic serving trays would serve the same purpose, and they’re a lot less expensive than the wooden boards. What’s more, with multiple plastic trays, you can serve much more food, without being restricted to the small menu of dozens of varieties of meats, side dishes and delicacies that the people in the video are eating.

  10. If TLS put this up just to knock the ad, then it’s pure Lashon Harah.
If this is a paid ad, then it’s gross that they would invite the lashon harah comments in the hopes of spreading their name.
Either way, the use of talleisim in an ad is, to me, a step too far.

  11. Everyone is trying to make a parnassah in this competitive society. Even the media companies. So you need to promote your business, you give the job to a media company. (Which is not for free). These media companies also have competitors and need to stay afloat. So they are constantly developing and devising creative marketing hype, with the intent of bringing your products to the next level. FARGIN. AND LET LIVE.

  12. So great the ad. I would volunteer next time for the upcoming video. Trust me I can fres and still make it look appetizing! I want to take this concept up a level and eat it even better with a bigger chaishek!! Ahhhh it’s geshmak! B”h it’s geshmak to be a yid!

  13. What does the waiter, working on the weekend for $15/hour, think about the עם הנבחר?
What is his thought process witnessing grown men go wild like a predator in the jungle going for the jugular of a piece of meat or herring?!

All the ספרים הקדושים, Chassidish, Musar and everything in between speak about how indulgence is the source of all עבירות. If their was ever a good use of גאוה it should be right here.

  14. I wasn’t into gashmiyus until I saw this ad. I always considered myself a ruchnyisdige person, but now that I have come to see the incredible gashmiyus that exists I consider myself liberated. This meaty gashmiyus looks so good that I’m considering leaving BMG and running to Next Level Taste so that I can nose dive into one of those thrilling meatboards. Thank you Shiku Media for enlightening me.

  15. This kind of reminds me of the R’M H. Tshuva (7,3)

כך הוא צריך לחפשׂ … ומרדיפת המאכלות וכו
And this follows H. Tshuva (7,1) ‘kdey shizke lchaey haloam haba’

  16. This video ad is on whatsapp only I whould argue that who ever has whatsapp has seen much worse so its not in my or in my kids face so you have seen everything all of a sudden this is the problem

  17. Meatboards are happiness, fressing is life. Like a file of ducklings following their mother duck, so too we follow the mothers to their graves. I love duck btw. Very succulent. This video has caused in me a rude awakening. A sweat-filled nightmare, if you will. Fever- induced, perhaps. Maybe, even. Next level taste, next level. This is the stuff. I love meat, especially in a board. Kinda like life itself, on a board, everyone grabbing something else. I just hope there was enough food for everyone. There can never be enough. I’d love to get myself a meatboard XL all for myself, and eat the entire thing in one big “Fress”. My rosh yeshiva probably won’t approve, but thats because he’s allergic to eggs. This looks delicious, especially the mushrooms. I love mushrooms. Just has a bunch earlier. BEST ADD EVER!!!! Hope to see mashiach soon. Shout-out TLS love you guys.

  18. Alright, everyone, let’s pump the brakes here! Posting a video of people enjoying a kiddush isn’t the start of a Food Olympics. It’s just good folks, good vibes, and good eats, pretty innocent stuff! It’s a cute ad, not a “Feast of the Century” or some kind of epic deli showdown. And behind it? Real people hustling to make a living, not plotting the next food takeover!

Next Level Taste is out there slinging some seriously awesome meat boards, and a solid marketing team is just trying to spread the word. Why throw shade on people just doing their thing? Honestly, a sprinkle of lashon hara (gossip) is way worse than a video of people happily noshing. So, c’mon, let’s keep it fun. Celebrate, don’t hate!

(No affiliation here, just a random viewer who felt like stepping in to give my two cents!)

  19. Any advertising making use of The Blue Danube waltz by Johann Strauss is good advertising! 😀

(Little known fact: his great-grandfather was a Hungarian Jew.)

  20. Unfortunately it’s an accurate depiction of reality.

Instead of asking if the advertisement has gone too far….we should be asking…..where have we gone wrong?

  21. It would be a great ad if it was advertising a simple food. It loses the ‘oompf’ if they are dropping cheap food to run for a huge meat board. Of course you choose steak over rugelach. Doesn’t tell me why I should choose this company.

If they were dropping an overloaded meat board to run for some new type of crackers with chummus, now that would be a statement.

(Bardak has done this kind of thing with a bottle of juice, to much success)

  22. Real talk, it’s all done in good fun and although people do go a bit vild for the boards at every kiddush it is humorously trying to exaggerate what goes on at a kiddush to illustrate the board as being the centerpiece at this kiddush
I have had plenty of boards from them and I will continue having them and other products.
I will say that the other series of ads like the Italian mafiosos and the one with the cash suitcase would be a better call as people feel called out in this one (they may mirror those in the video) and others are triggered that there’s so much focus on gashmius. Those other ads did not make viewers feel bad about themselves and brought the message across in a feel good way.
Good luck with the company and looking forward to other great videos very soon!

  23. A sign of society falling is when we start celebrating chefs, and prioritizing artisanal food. Lakewood will burn like Rome, Athens, and Constantinople if the Rabbanim don’t do somthing about this.
