Going away for Yom Tov? Last day to sign up to have Lakewood Police Check on your home

lpd vehicle tlsAs was successfully done during Chanukah, the Lakewood Police Department will once again offer residents the opportunity to have their home checked on while they’re away for Yom Tov.

Police Chief Rob Lawson tells TLS residents can leave their address and contact information with the police department, and police will conduct a periodic check of their residence to ensure it is safe.

To have your home added to the list, free of charge, call police at 732-994-4578 and leave your name, address, dates you will be away, and a contact number.

The deadline to sign up for this service is today, Thursday.

  1. Why would anyone call a random number and tell them that u are away. This number is not the PD number. If this is legit PD make an extension internally!

  2. It was a little funny leaving my address and when i will be away on a answering machine that gave no indication that it was the Police department.
