If you are leaving for Yom Tov, it may be a good idea to have your mail placed on hold while you’re away. The USPS offers this service free from 3-30 days. It takes just a couple of minutes to sign up , which you can do by clicking here. You can sign up until 2 a.m the day you wish to start, but like everything else, it’s best to do it in advance. Burglars look out for homes with accumulating mail, so rather safe than sorry.
