This September, we’re excited to launch another round of the Flip for 30 Challenge, beginning on September 2nd—perfectly timed with the start of Elul. Our first challenge was a tremendous success, receiving incredible feedback from participants who found it helped them make healthy adjustments to their lives. Now, we’re inviting you to join us for another transformative experience.
The Flip for 30 Challenge encourages participants to step away from their smartphones and embrace a more mindful way of living by switching to a basic phone for 30 days. This initiative not only promotes personal well-being but also supports Bridges, a vital organization founded in Lakewood that is dedicated to keeping children safe and families strong.
This challenge is not just about digital detox; it’s also a fundraising effort where participants commit to raising a minimum of $250. By taking part, you’ll support the crucial work of Bridges while adding an extra layer of accountability to your own journey. The fundraising aspect provides an additional motivation to stick with the challenge and see it through.
Participants can choose from various challenge tiers to match their needs:
Complete Flip: Switch from a smartphone to a basic flip phone for 30 days and experience a true digital detox.
Hybrid Flip: Use a basic phone as your main device and keep your smartphone for essential use, like in the car or after hours and on weekends. Options include swapping SIM cards or using call forwarding.
Half Flip: Transition to a basic phone with limited app capabilities, such as WhatsApp, for those whose work depends on it.
Lite Mode: Simplify your smartphone experience with an app that limits functionality to just talk, text, or other necessary functions.
To help participants transition smoothly, Flip for 30 is offering a complimentary TCL flip phone, partially subsidized by KosherCell.org (deposit required). For those who want an upgrade, participants can purchase the FIG Flip, a higher-end, subsidized basic phone.
The next Flip for 30 Challenge begins on September 2nd, so don’t miss this opportunity to prepare and plan for a successful transition, especially as we enter the reflective period of Elul. If you can’t join this round, there will be more chances in the future.
Bridges, an essential organization based in Lakewood, provides critical support to children and families in crisis. Through respite homes and host homes, Bridges offers a nurturing environment and comprehensive case management, connecting families with the resources they need to thrive.
Let’s come together to make a positive change! Embrace the Flip for 30 Challenge and support the incredible work of Bridges. Sign up today, and let’s flip the world for good!
