  1. My prayers and love go to the little 7 year old girl and her family. I will keep them close to me heart to give them the strength they will need to get through this diificult time of their lives.

  2. most probobly takes a small deposit in order to make sure the stuff gets returned otherwise people who are busy with a simcha tend to get side tracked etc.In order for the gmach to be run efficiently and have items on hand for the next baal simcha the deposit will get people to return the items in a timely fashion

  3. I am coordinating tehilim for thirty days (ending June 30, bli neder), starting with aleph and going thru the sefer, and then beginning again.

we are now in the midst of the fifth cycle and the last person has said chapter 128.

anyone who has time to say a chapter or more, please post which chapters you are saying, so the next poster can pick up from there. this is only a commitment to say the chapter(s) ONE TIME at that point in time. if you want to say more tehillim on another day, then check to see where we are up to, and post accordingly.

tizku lmitzvos… and may this gemach, other mitzvos, tzedaka, tehilim and tefillos bring sara gitel bas miriam miri a refuah shelaima b’karov, along with all the other cholim of klal yisrael.

  5. To the first comment: Save your shailos for the Beis Medrash. Do you want to help the G’Mach? Fine. Halachic queries? Elsewhere.
Short and to the point: A G’Mach is being started as a zechus for the little girl. Period.

  6. Dear parents of Sarit,
After receiving the letter from your daughters school I was left speechless and in shock. The news struck a raw nerve inside of me. I pictured a 7 year old girl just like my daughter and their parents whose lives were suddenly thrown into turmoil having to deal with this illness. I was contemplating reaching out to you to offer my support as well as my daughter’s, who always talks about Sarit. I was hesitant to do so in order to protect your privacy.
After seeing this article I was encouraged to respond and to offer my support in any way I can.
As you may know, a fundraising bike tour, known as Bike4Chai will take place this August which will benefit children with cancer attending Camp Simcha. I committed myself to ride the full 150+ miles for this cause and now If you will allow, I would like to dedicate it to Sarit.
May Hashem take the energy expended from my training and ride and infuse it into Sarit and may she merit a full and speedy recovery.
    Sincerely,
    Joel Schwartz

  7. To #8, although i certainly understand your sentiments, i would pause in any rebuke. One never knows if the schar limud will be heard in shamayim and B’E’H the limud Torah itself may well be the catalysis to a refuah shlaima to Sarah Gittel Bas Miriam Mira!
