Garbage Truck in Lakewood Catches Fire After Batteries Explode [PHOTOS]

Lithium-ion batteries placed in the garbage are to blame after the batteries exploded inside the truck, setting the trash and truck on fire.

The incident happened on Ocean Avenue in Lakewood this morning.

Luckily, there were no injuries reported.

Firefighters are now combing the trash to find and remove remnants of the batteries.
