VIDEO: A funeral was held today for Fredrick J. Dennis, a former Lakewood firefighter, who was passed away on June 24 at the age of 88. He is the father of current Fire Commissioner Mike Dennis.
Fredrick was born in Brick and spent most of his life in Lakewood before settling in Whiting for the last 12 years. Fredrick served in the US Army during World War II as a sergeant in the 391st Infantry Division in the South Pacific.Â
A funeral procession en-route to St. Mary paused at the Cedarbridge Hook & Ladder Station, station 68, where Fredrick was a member of.
Rest In Peace Fredrick, and thank you for your service to Lakewood and the United States.
