Frum Woman Courageously Publicizes Her Story

Leah Berkowitz was up late. She had just put Ari to bed, and she knew he was in pain from his tumor. She had tried to make him as comfortable as possible, but he was still in agony. She thought of the days when he was a happy, healthy child, running around and playing with his siblings. Leah sighed, her heart aching for her son.

After a few minutes, Leah slowly got up, leaving Ari to rest, and went to check on her husband. He was in bed, pale and exhausted from yet another round of chemotherapy. She sat by his side, her eyes filling with tears. She was so grateful for his courage and strength, but she wished he didn’t have to suffer so much.

Leah Berkowitz and her family are barely making it through this incredibly difficult time. Between the medical bills for Ari and Benjy, the cost of caring for their autistic children, and the regular expenses of daily life, the burden is becoming too much for them to bear.

This is where you come in.

Leah has courageously put her story up on ChesedToday.com where she begs anyone who reads it for help:

“It’s all just too much. 8 children. Autistic children. A sick husband. A child whose life is in danger. And on top of all that – we are struggling financially in a major way. We need help paying for basic expenses, like rent, food and desperately needed medication. Please help us. Please help us cope and pay for everything we need, to give my children a normal home while their father and brother fight deadly cancer.”

Your help will provide the Berkowitz family with a sense of security and hope in the face of overwhelming circumstances. Please send them much-needed support by donating here.
