Former Ocean County Prosecutor receives official Toms River GOP endorsement for Mayor

Former Ocean County prosecutor Joseph Coronato received the official endorsement for Mayor from the Toms River Republican club last night.

Coronato was up against longtime councilman Maurice (Mo) Hill, and won the endorsement by just a few votes.

The current mayor, Thomas Kelaher, 86, is not seeking reelection.

Coronator was Christie’s pick for Prosecutor and served for five years, before Murphy took office.

He publicly humiliated the Orthodox community with his early morning raid of 11 frum families with the media tipped off to be there. I don’t see him as a fair representative of our community without an apology.

People are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty. There was no need to embarass them & traumatize their children because they happen to live in Lakewood. No need to tip off the media who are already antagonistic toward us & paint all of us as criminals . Somebody was trying to score points with those who dislike the Orthodox community. An apology is in order.
