Former Lakewood residents receive most write-ins for Jackson BOE seat

Two former Lakewood residents received the most write-ins for the recent Board of Education seat in Jackson, results show.

Mordechai (Mordy) Burnstein and David Herbst received the most votes, followed by Philip D. Stilton, a local news reporter.

According to the Clerk’s office, Burnstein received many more votes under the name ‘Mordy’, which could not be counted.

Given the recent incidents in Jackson involving officials, many former Lakewood resident came out to vote in unity to make their voices heard.

Approximately 550 Orthodox Jewish families currently reside in neighboring Jackson.

  1. Great job! I’d rather some decent people up there than haters. Enough with the hate.

Township councilmen, Zoning Board and whoever else take note. You continue your hate, and we will have a replacement in no time.

    A Goy from Jackson.
