Former Lakewood Police Officer, Ptl. LeRoy (Roy) L. Holly Jr. # 162 passed passed away peacefully while surrounded by family, on 3/11/2023.

He was an Army Veteran and had served as a door gunner in Vietnam. After an Honorable Discharge, he spent a few years with the Nutley Police Department and transferred to Lakewood where he worked as a Patrolman for 27 years and then joined the Monmouth University Police Department reaching the rank of Corporal for another 10 years.

He is survived by his wife Sharon and two children Kevin & Colleen.

Viewing service will be Thursday March 16th from 4-6 PM at Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton, SC. His funeral service will be on Friday March 17th at 1:00 PM at Sauls FH. Burial will be at the Beaufort National Cemetery at 10AM on Tuesday March 21st.
