Former Lakewood Deputy Chief Charles ‘Chucky’ Smith Has Died [UPDATED]

Lakewood Deputy Chief Charles ‘Chucky’ Smith has died, the department said today.

He served on the LPD for 33 years and retired in 2011.

He was also a member of Lakewood Fire Department Engine Co #1.

The Viewing will be on Thursday, June 1, 4-7 pm with a service at 6 pm at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home, 901 Beaver Dam Rd, Point Pleasant, NJ.

  1. He was a good friend of the yeshiva community. Rabbi Schenkolewski worked together with him for many years to do whatever was needed for the tzibur. a real mentch. he will be missed
