The Lakewood Board of Education will be distributing free food boxes to children under the age of 18 today, despite the looming threat of a snow storm.
As always, the free 7-day boxes are available to all students below the age of 18 who do not receive free lunches at school, while those who do receive free lunch at school are eligible for weekend boxes.
The distribution will take place at the Clifton Avenue Grade School and Lakewood Middle School from 2:45 PM to 5:15 PM.

If I have 3 kids not getting weekend meals, do I say I need meals for 3 kids or do I say 6 meals? According to the form it looks like I should ask for 6.
One child doesn’t get government lunches in school. I have to pay for his food. Can I take 7 days worth of meals for that child?

You are correct on both.
The answer is that you should ask for 6 meals altogether for the 3 kids not getting weekend meals, and 7 meals for the 1 kid not getting lunch at all, for a total of 13 meals.
The number they want to know is 13 – days or meals.
actually the answer is
3 kids not getting weekend would be :
3 kids x 2 meals per day = 6 meals x 2 or 3 days depending on the schedule of their school
the child not recieving school lunches would be 7 days x 2 meals per day
14 meals total for child out of school
and either 12 or 18 meals for the 3 kids in school
where else are boxes distribute? who is eligible?
What’s the point of this form if they are only giving out week end boxes? I asked for my kids not receiving lunches in school and they told me they were not giving out 7 days boxes.
