In several weeks, the first Yahrtzeit will be marked for Leah Gross A”H bas Reb Levi Yitzchok, the nine-year-old who was tragically Niftar in an accident last year.
As a Zchus for her Neshama, the parents undertook the task of writing a Sefer Torah.
Following the tragedy, the parents wrote:
“Our hearts were broken six weeks ago by the tragic passing of Leah, our beautiful, pure nine-year-old daughter. While nothing can minimize the family’s suffering or assuage our unspeakable pain, our friends and extended family have made every effort to be there for us in our time of mourning and bereavement.
Our many friends are joining together to write a Sefer Torah in Leah’s memory, in order to perpetuate the memory of this beloved young girl and so that the zechus of a Sefer Torah will be a merit for her neshamah in the Olam Ha’emes. When the Torah is read in shul, it will be a great nechamah for her grieving parents and will provide us with some consolation and solace from our incredible pain. By collectively donating to this fund, you can help us during this time of sorrow as we work on rebuilding our lives after this terrible tragedy.
This campaign is endorsed by Reb Zalman Sorotzkin, shlita, Lutzker Rav of Lakewood, and Reb Pinchas Vind, shlita, Belzer Dayan of Lakewood.
Together, let’s write a Sefer Torah in her memory.”
