Lakewood’s Yesodos Bais Yaakov High School will reopen for the coming school year, TLS has learned.
The news comes as Askonim and Baalei Batim got involved and worked out a plan to save the school when the school announced its closure due to a financial crisis.
The donations that came in from the campaign also helped.
The school will also be moving to a new location on County Line Road for the coming school year.
B’H! Thank you in the name of the students and teachers who would have been very sad had this wonderful mosad closed.
As mothers of yesodos we were all uncertain about what was going to be. We didn’t Yelp and complain and send out letters. We bonded together and said tehillim. That’s what kind of parent body we hAve.
I’m a bachur in BMG and when I went home for Shabbos two weeks ago and saw the crowdfunding campaign for this school I made a small contribution. I just came home for bein hazmanim and about a half an hour ago while doing some preparations for Shabbos I remembered the whole story and was wondering what happened. I turned on the computer and lo and behold the school is opening, B”H.
As one who has gained so much from my learning in Lakewood I felt an achrayus to contribute to help this makom Torah exist, i.e. that people who live here have a place for their daughters to go to school. It was also sad to think of the tzaros that so many people would have had to endure.
