FIRST LOOK: Hatzolah of Central Jersey Purchases New Transport Vehicle

Hatzolah of Central Jersey gave TLS the first look of a brand new vehicle they purchased.

“As the community continues to grow in geographic areas by leaps and bounds and the need of more ambulances arise, Hatzolah has purchased an additional vehicle to add to their fleet,” Hatzolah Administrator Motty Twerski told TLS.

“With our current call volume, our fleet needs constant service and maintenance. In an effort to ensure that all ambulances remain available in their designated areas for calls, this vehicle will act as a spare should an ambulance need to go in for service or repair,” Twerski said.

The vehicle is expected to go into service in the coming months.

    • Hatzolah of Central Jersey is the joint name (and colored branding on the ambulances) of the hatzolahs of: Lakewood, Jackson, Toms River, etc

  1. I truly hope it works out for them to use as a spare, and hope that they do not replace any of the regulars with this one. They look compact and useful, however they look very similar to the old small van styled ambulances that some ambulance companies still use in NYC, and those are supposedly said to be (as heard from EMTs who used to work in these all the time) notoriously difficult to work in when doing stuff like CPR enroute to the hospital because it’s hard to work in such a fairly cramped space.
Can anyone else enlighten me further about this topic?

    • having worked in this style ambulance. I wouldn’t call it spacious but we never had to compromise PT care bec of the size. Personally in BK it is a lot easier to navigate then the trucks, but I dont think that is the case in Central Jersey. However their prob cheaper and easier to maintain especially if it is just a back up, or being used for IFT.
