  1. the paid and volunteer fire dept together as a team worked to kill the fire last night. the second paid fire station on monmouth ave. was strategically placed on monmouth for just this reason. he was down the street and was able to get there to respond so quickly because of where the station is. his backup team (the volunteer dept) quickly responded behind to be there to help with the rest of the work. lets be safe and continue to support our fire dept who is always there.

  2. It’s awesome. This way if there is a fire on one side of Monmouth ave the paid members can respond first. If it’s on the other side of Monmouth ave the volunteers will be first.
Imagine if there was a fire smack in between…!

  3. I thought I saw one of the fire fighters carrying a tallis with something wrapped in it. I was guessing that was the sefer torah.

Its great to see how wonderful the LFD is to our community. They first risk there lives for us and our property & than have the for site to save our holiest of jewish items.

    Thank You LFD.

  4. Yes, it was one of our own frum firefighters who carried out a sefer torah. They are heroes and should be applauded, esp. at 12AM!
