Firefighters battling 600 acre fire at Joint Base MDL

About 100 firefighters and first responders from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst fire services, New Jersey State Forest Service – including aerial support. and Burlington County Strike Team are working to contain a 660 acre active fire on the base.

There have been no evacuations or structural damage, and operations are expected to continue throughout the night.

The fire orginated about 2:30 p.m. on a training range on base near Browns Mills.

Pemberton Browns Mills Road, Juliustown Road and Pointville Road are closed through the foreseeable future.

There is no threat to the installation or community at this time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Is this the same fire from Motzs”h ? It didnt run out of fuel yet ? Yoish. This is terrible.

Will the air quality be affected today like it was Sunday ? I have a relative with asthma and want to be cautious
