Firefighter Back At Work 5 Months After Injury

Rob 7401A Lakewood Firefighter injured on the job, has returned back to work. Rob Leon was battling a fire at the High Point Condominiums on in July of this year, where he was injured while pulling a water line though the narrow apartment stairway, in an attempt to reach a torched bedroom. He was taken from the scene via EMS to KMC, where he was treated and released a short time later, but then required additional medical treatment.

“I”m happy to be back at work after nearly five months off”, Rob tells TLS. “I’d like to say thank you to everyone who has been so kind to me and my family during my recovery”, he said.

Leon works on the Lakewood Fire Department’s 7401 Station.

  1. Rob was a former student of mine at LHS. It is nice to see he found a calling and has helped the township in many ways. I am glad to hear that he is recovered and back on the job!
