Fire in Jackson being investigated as Arson

The Jackson Police Department is seeking anyone who may have witnessed or who has information on the following incident.

On Thursday April 7, 2022 at 12:33 am, officers responded with fire department personnel to the Pineview Apartments located on West County Line Road on the report of a fire that appeared suspicious. Firefighters had responded to the report of a fire that was located in a stairwell at Building C in the complex which had already been extinguished by residents on their arrival.

During the following investigation, multiple containers filled with an unknown liquid with rags stuffed in the tops of the containers were discovered around one specific apartment. One of the containers had been ignited and the noise and smoke woke area residents who then extinguished a small fire in the stairwell.

Anyone who may have additional information about this incident is asked to contact Jackson Police Det. Anthony Riso at 732-928-1111.

  1. And to think this happened not long after TLS reported that Jackson Township is among the safest townships in the USA.
Whoever started this fire apparently does not like TLS and wants to discredit TLS’s reporting.
Find out who has been logging into TLS the last several hours, and we might find the arsonist.
And don’t look at me! I have an alibi! I’ve been at my computer for quite some time now. And my computer is not portable, so I can’t carry this thing around with me and light fires at the same time. It’s neither practical nor humanely possible.
Good luck, and bring out the computer dog sniffers, if you must!
