Fire Heavily Damages Home

PHOTOS & VIDEO: A structure fire left a home severely damaged this afternoon. The Newport Avenue home caught fire at about 12:30 PM, and quickly spread throughout the home, sending out plumes of smoke.

A General Alarm was hit out and prompted the response from all of Lakewood’s Fire Companies, who battled the large fire for about 30 minutes before bringing under control.

The home’s occupants managed to escape the home unharmed, but the house was left heavily damaged.

The Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire. TLS.
