Two structures were destroyed in a fire in Jackson, officials say.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Cassville Volunteer Fire Company, and the Whitesville Volunteer Fire Department, were dispatched to to a reported fire.

Upon the arrival of the Cassville Fire Chiefs, they reported a working fire to two out-buildings behind the residence.

The fire department was quickly able to extinguish the fire and operated for approximately an hour before returning back to service.

The Fire Bureau responded to determine the origin and cause.
