PHOTOS: The Lakewood Fire Department and Jackson Fire Department responded to several vehicle fires today. There were no injuries reported from any of the fires, which reportedly started from the cars overheating due to the weather. Outside temperatures today reached approximately 80 degrees.

Why would a car overheat due to 80* weather? It doesn’t usually happen in the summer when it is hotter.
Why is lakewood Township borrowing $2,160,000???? Why are they leaving us, the struggling taxpayers, with so much debt for years to come?
It’s on the Township website. WHY WHY WHY???
my 2 cents – plenty of lakewood cars overheat in the summer. Ask Sruly’s – they are very busy in the summer.
1) MAKE SURE YOUR CARS HAVE PROPER FLUIDS! 2) CHECK THE OIL LEVEL OFTEN, SOME TIMES THERE IS A LEAKE IN THE OIL AND YOU WILL DISTROY YOUR ENGIN AND PROBLEY CAUSE A FIRE. 3) CHANGE THE OIL EVERY 3 THOUSAND MILES.
====MOST (ALL) FIRES ARE CAUSED. BECAUSE OF THESE REASONS. THANK YOU
Is this a new chumra? Cleaning the car for Pesach with a blowtorch?
This just looks like Jackson…not Lakewood. Did Lakewood have multiple vehicle fires today as well??
How come in Jackson they send more than one truck and more than one firefighter? But in Lakewood they send just the one paid man. Many towns send more than one firefighter. Why is Lakewood different? And sometimes he doesn’t even wear all the gear the other firefighters are wearing.
I agree with # 4 100%
Most towns have volunteer fire companies, their requirements are different in regards to car fires. In Lakewood it just works, if the paid men need help they ask for it, Sometimes one person is enough. How many guys were standing around that car watching 2 guys work? What does that say?
To #9 what about the safety if the one man gets hurt then what? You have to wait for help. Sounds like someone would have a good lawsuit against the dept.
whoa “HOT CAR”
