Fire Department Responds To Fire In 4th Street Building

The Fire Department responded to a fire in a 4th Street building this evening, an official tells TLS. A General Alarm was hit out at about 6:45 PM after a fire was reported in a ceiling within the building. There were no reports of injuries.

The Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the fire.

Thanks to a quick response from the LFD the fire was stoped.

It was a basement fire that traveled up the wall to the attic.

It was actually 6:23pm, according to the dispatcher when she hit out the Fire Dept for the general alarm.

Mr. Community affairs, Were any other commissioners there in that capacity??? Chiefs run the department,not commissioners

well number 5 to be honest there were 2 commissioners at the 4th street fire . no mr loigman was not there , but he is not commissioner yet so i wouldnt expect him to be there yet

The 2 commissioners that were there were there as FIREFIGHTERS not commissioners. Commissioners have no reason to be at a fire scene unless they are there as firefighters fighting the fire!
