  1. well, I didn’t vote because I felt that it was better to stay home and be safe because of the weather, than to risk an accident and go out to vote. I think they should have another election for all those who stayed home for that reason. Why can’t we vote on line anyway?

  2. State law says the election is to be held on the third Saturday of February each year. If anyone has problems with the date they should talk to their state legislators about changing the date. It could be moved to November as are all other elections and save the Board of Fire Commissioners the cost of the election.

  3. My take,
Firefighters will risk their lives in far more precarious situations for you any time, day or night regardless of weather or seaon. Yet, you didn’t think it was worth it to come out and vote last night?

  4. How can you have an election with 500 people. I received ohone calls to come out in terrible weather to vote. Are they crazy? It was probably decided beforehand anyway.

  5. One way to avoid bad weather or any other issues is to cast an absentee ballot ahead of time. The elections are held the same day every year and notice is posted in papers and on the local internet sites.
