A Middlesex County fugitive was arrested in Lakewood today following a traffic stop for an expired inspection sticker, Detctvive Sergeant Greg Staffordsmith says.

At about 4:15 PM today, Detectives from the Lakewood Police Department Street Crimes conducted a traffic stop after observing a blue 1993 Chevy pick up truck with an expired inspection sticker.

“During the stop the operator identified himself as Alfred Russo, but after further investigation, the detectives determined that the man was in fact 55 year old Alfred Cucciniello of Toms River.”

Cucciniello was wanted on an outstanding no bail warrant for hindering apprehension out of Middlesex County, Staffordsmith says.

In addition to the warrant, he received summonses for the expired inspection sticker and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended New Jersey license. [TLS]
